Terry McCormick has been involved in the practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) since 1989 and is a doctoral fellow at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where he also completed a master's degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Additionally he holds a bachelor's degree in health science from William Paterson University and a graduate diploma from the International Acupuncture Training Center in Nanjing, China. He has studied and practiced acupuncture and Oriental medicine throughout the world including hospitals in China and Brazil and physical therapy clinics in Liverpool, England and New York City. Terry has instructed medical doctors in acupuncture throughout his career in the U.S. and abroad. He was one of the first licensed acupucnturist to instruct physicians in acupuncture at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He has been an instructor at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Minneapolis and the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland. He has been featured in television, radio, magazine and newspaper interviews across the country as an expert in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Terry McCormick specializes in pain management, treatment of digestive disorders, reproductive health and infertility, hormonal and metabolic disorders, allergies and asthma, sleep disorders, tinnitus and sports injuries and athletic performance enhancement.
Additionally, Terry is a top local road and trail runner, placing first overall in numerous races around the country since 1984 to the present day. He is a former top nationally ranked cylclist and triathlete with five top ten national championship finishes as an elite category "pro 1/2" cyclist and "expert" class moutain biker. As an athlete with over 25 years of racing and training experience, he understands the specific needs of athletes all ages and levels. He is an active member of the Red Lizard Running Club and the Oregon Road Runners Club.
